MINISTER ATANASOV HELD A MEETING WITH THE DIRECTOR OF THE ROMANIAN CULTURAL INSTITUTE AND THE AMBASSADOR OF ROMANIA TO BULGARIA

  The Minister of Culture Atanas Atanasov met with the Director of the Romanian Cultural Institute, Mr. Liviu Jicman, with the rank of Minister, and with the Ambassador of Romania to Bulgaria, HE Mrs. Brandusha Predescu. On the Romanian side, Ms. Aurelia Domniteanu, Minister Plenipotentiary at the Embassy, also took part in the meeting at the Ministry of Culture. On the Bulgarian side, the talks were attended by the Deputy Minister of Culture Mr. Yuri Valkovski, the Head of the Political Cabinet of the Minister of Culture Mr. Nikolay Saykov and the Director of the Directorate for International Cooperation, European Programmes and Regional Activities in the Ministry of Culture Dr. Petar Miladinov.

FOR THE FIRST TIME AT THE INITIATIVE OF THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE, THE NATIONAL CULTURE FUND PUBLISHED FOR PUBLIC DISCUSSION THE DOCUMENTS OF THE FUND`S EXTRAORDINARY PROGRAMMES FOR FINANCING

  The aim is to achieve maximum transparency in the work of the Fund and to facilitate the procedure for applicants for funding programmes.
  For the first time, at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture, the National Culture Fund published for public discussion the documents of the Fund-s extraordinary programmess in connection with the emergency epidemiological situation.

THE MINISTER OF CULTURE ATANAS ATANASOV DISCUSSED WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND TO BULGARIA HE MACIEJ SZYMANSKI THE FORTHCOMING SIGNING OF A COOPERATION PROGRAMME

  The Minister of Culture Atanas Atanasov held a meeting with HE Maciej Szymański, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Bulgaria. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Political Cabinet of the Minister Mr. Nikolay Saykov, as well as the Director of the Directorate for International Cooperation, European Programmes and Regional Activities Dr. Petar Miladinov.

21 POETS WILL READ THEIR POEMS ON MARCH 21 AT THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE ON THE OCCASION OF WORLD POETRY DAY

  With the poetry reading and the Poetry on the 5th floor exhibition the Ministry of Culture started a conversation about poetry and state policies to support in this area.
  A poetic reading will take place on March 21 /Monday/ at 11 am in the lobby on the sixth floor of the Ministry of Culture building, followed by the opening of the Poetry on the 5th floor exhibition. 21 poets will read their poems on the occasion of the World Poetry Day, after which an exhibition of their poems will be opened on the 5th floor of the Ministry of Culture.

THE 14TH BULGARIAN FILM FESTIVAL IN PRAGUE STARTS ON MARCH 17TH

The forum opens its doors free of charge to refugees from Ukraine in the Czech capital.
  The Bulgarian Cultural Institute and the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Prague are organizing a Festival of Bulgarian Cinema, which will be held from March 17 to 20 in the Czech capital. In connection with the military aggression in Ukraine, from which many people have already fled abroad, our cultural institute in the Czech Republic announced that refugees from Ukraine are welcome with free admission to the screenings of the Festival programme.

MINISTER ATANASOV: I AM HOPEFUL THAT DESPITE THE DIFFICULT TIMES, THERE ARE PEOPLE DEDICATED TO CREATING BEAUTY AND DOING IT IN SPITE EVERYTHING

  “I am hopeful that despite the difficult times, there are people dedicated to creating beauty and doing it in spite of everything!” - with these words the Minister of Culture Atanas Atanasov addressed the artists and musicians after the premiere of the Countess Maritsa - Chardash, Chocolate and Rock-n-Roll on sunday night at the Musical Theater in the capital.
