THE BULGARIAN MINISTER OF CULTURE SIGNED THE MEMORANDUM OF THE BAUCULTURAL ALLIANCE IN DAVOS
The Bulgarian Minister of Culture Velislav Minekov participated in the Davos Baukultur Alliance 2023 - the conference of Ministers of Culture, held between 14-16 January this year in Davos, Switzerland. The Forum, opened by the President of Switzerland Alain Berset, discussed and adopted the Memorandum that launched the Baukultur Alliance.

THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE RESTORES THE PRIZE FOR POETRY AND JOURNALISM NAMED AFTER HRISTO BOTEV
The Ministry of Culture restores a prize named after the prominent Bulgarian poet and revolutionary Hristo Botev. For this purpose, the team of the cultural ministry has developed a proposal for the establishment of a special prize for poetry and journalism in the name of Botev, which has not been awarded so far.

A WINTER RESCUE EXPEDITION AT SEA BROUGHT NEW SHIP ACQUISITIONS TO THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF HISTORY
The rescue expedition was supported by the Ministry of Culture.
In the last days of 2022, on December 23, a team from the Centre for Underwater Archaeology (CUA), led by the Director, Chief Assistant Prof. Nayden Prahov, PhD, managed to recover two iron ship cannons and dozens of ammunition more than 200 years old from the bottom of the Bulgarian Northern Black Seacoast. The rescue expedition was carried out over a period of thirty hours and under difficult conditions such as low visibility, cold waters and complex technical logistics.
