THE NEW MINISTER OF CULTURE NAYDEN TODOROV OFFICIALLY TOOK OFFICE
At a succession ceremony today, 9 April 2024, at the Ministry of Culture, the new Minister of Culture, Nayden Todorov, took over from the incumbent, Krastyu Krastev.
"It is an honour and a great pleasure for me to hand over this position to you" - with these words Krastyu Krastev addressed Minister Todorov. "I am extremely calm and confident, believing in what you will do for the Ministry of Culture, it deserves the best and I believe that Nayden Todorov is the best that can happen to the Ministry of Culture. I admire You, I congratulate You and I wholeheartedly wish You all the best!", said the former Minister Krastyu Krastev, pointing out that Nayden Todorov is not only a very good conductor, but a very good person as well.

THE BULGARIAN CULTURAL INSTITUTE IN LONDON ORGANIZED A SPECIAL CELEBRATION IN HONOUR OF 24 MAY AND GEORGI GOSPÎDINOV
The Bulgarian Cultural Institute in London organized a special celebration in honor of May 24 - the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, and of Georgi Gospodinov and the prestigious Booker Prize, which was awarded for his novel “Vremeubezhishte” (Time Shelter) in the excellent translation of Angela Rodel.

VICE-PRESIDENT ILIANA IOTOVA OPENED A LARGE-SCALE EXHIBITION WITH BULGARIAN PARTICIPATION IN THE PRESENCE OF MINISTER NAYDEN TODOROV AT THE BRITISH MUSEUM
Vice President Iliana Iotova opened a large-scale exhibition with Bulgarian participation at the British Museum in the presence of Minister of Culture Nayden Todorov on 3 May. Our country is represented by one of the most remarkable treasures - the Panagyurishte Treasure, which is the highlight of the exhibition organized in its recognition. Experts from the team of the National Museum of History in Sofia took part in the opening ceremony. There were also opening remarks from Hartwig Fischer, Director of the British Museum.
