Arts and Culture Schools to Hold Information Classes during the Road Safety Days from 16 to 22 September
Arts and Culture Schools will hold information classes during the Road Safety Days from 16 September to 22 September. The Ministry of Culture sent information about the campaign under the motto: “Stay Alive! Save the Life!” to the 23 schools, as well as to the “Bulgarian Museums” Association, and each of the participants will choose the most appropriate form to acquaint the students with the efforts worldwide to reduce road fatalities and the students- role in this process.
For the fifth consecutive year, the European Network of Traffic Police Forces ROADPOL organised a campaign aimed at reducing the number of road accident victims to 0 for at least one day, which for the European continent is 70 human lives per day. The campaign also coincides with the traditional European Mobility Week.
The Road Safety Days are once again supported by the European Commission. The organisers from ROADPOL advocate that the responsibility for the victims on the road rests with everyone and they call for attention when engaging in the road traffic in order to protect ourselves and the others from road accidents and damages.
Under the patronage of the Minister of Interior Hristo Terziyski, the Republic of Bulgaria is actively involved in the project, in accordance with the adopted measures to limit the spread of COVID-19. Our country is a full-fledged member of ROADPOL. The date of September 16 was declared by Minister Terziyski as a Day Without a Road Death. The General Coordinator of the project for Bulgaria is the General Directorate National Police.
