MINISTER OF CULTURE BOIL BANOV AND EU COMMISSIONER FOR INNOVATION, RESEARCH, CULTURE, EDUCATION AND YOUTH MARIYA GABRIEL DISCUSS PRIORITIES AND TASKS FOR THE PORTFOLIO

Minister of Culture Boil Banov and EU Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Mariya Gabriel discussed the priorities in the European Commission-s widest portfolio for the next five-year period. The meeting between them took place at the Ministry of Culture today, 13 December 2019.

FUTURE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE MINISTRIES OF CULTURE OF BULGARIA AND GEORGIA DISCUSSED THE DEPUTY MINISTER AMELIYA GESHEVA AND H. E. TAMARA LILUASHVILI

   The preparation of a future agreement between Bulgaria-s Ministry of Culture and Georgia-s Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports was discussed by Deputy Minister Ameliya Gesheva and H. E. Tamara Liluashvili, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tbilisi in Sofia. The meeting between the representatives of the two institutions took place at the Ministry of Culture today at the request of Georgia-s top diplomat in the country.

BULGARIA AND RUSSIA CONTINUE THE NEW BULGARIAN NOVEL PROJECT

   The Director of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Moscow Buryana Angelakieva and Mikhail Shepel, the Director-General of the M.I.Rudomino State Foreign Literature Library in the Russian capital signed a bilateral agreement on intentions regarding the continuation of the New Bulgarian Novel Project. The signing ceremony took place in Saint Petersburg today at the 8th International Cultural Forum and in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Bulgaria.

THE MINISTER OF CULTURE BOIL BANOV OUTLINES THE PRIORITIES OF BULGARIA IN THE UNESCO PROGRAMMES AT THE 40TH SESSION OF THE ORGANISATION IN PARIS

   Bulgarian Minister of Culture Boil Banov outlined Bulgaria-s priorities in UNESCO programmes and Bulgaria-s contribution to their implementation at the 40th session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation, held in Paris. Minister Banov participated in the UNESCO General Conference as Head of the Bulgarian delegation.

OVER 4000 LESSONS HAVE BEEN HELD IN MUSEUMS IN THE COUNTRY

   “I am convinced that libraries can also be another place to acquire the knowledge, skills and all the competencies that are necessary for the modern man.” This was said by the Deputy Minister of Culture Amelia Gesheva, who together with the Deputy Minister of Education and Science (MES) Tanya Mihaylova participated in the best open lesson, awarded in the first MES competition for museum education. It was publicly presented by the winner Mrs Nina Karaivanova of Exarch Antim I Primary School in Plovdiv to the second graders from the school at the Ethnographic Museum of the city today.
