A COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH MONTENEGRO IN THE FIELD OF CULTURE WAS APPROVED

  The Council of Ministers approved the Cooperation Agreement in the Field of Culture between the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Government of Montenegro, signed on 27 March 2015 in the city of Sofia, and also approved the draft Programme for Cooperation in the Field of Culture between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro for the period 2021 – 2023.

MINISTER BOIL BANOV AND THE AMBASSADOR OF UKRAINE, H. E. VITALIY MOSKALENKO DISCUSSED FUTURE INITIATIVES IN THE FIELD OF CULTURE

  Minister of Culture Boil Banov and H. E. Vitaliy Moskalenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to Bulgaria, discussed future joint initiatives at a meeting held in the Ministry of Culture today. Minister Banov thanked Ambassador Moskalenko for the traditionally good relations with Ukraine, based on strong historical, cultural and linguistic ties between the two countries.

THE DEPUTY MINISTER AMELIYA GESHEVA AWARDED A DIPLOMA AND A BADGE OF HONOUR “GOLDEN AGE” — A STAR TO H. E. THE AMBASSADOR STEFANO BALDI

  The Deputy Minister of Culture Ameliya Gesheva awarded a diploma and a badge of honour “Golden Age” — a star of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic in Bulgaria H. E. Stefano Baldi. The high distinction of the Ministry of Culture was awarded on 16 November this year, in the month of of the leaders of the Bulgarian National Revival, and is awarded to H. E. Baldi for his significant contribution to the international cultural cooperation between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Italian Republic.

MINISTER BANOV TOOK PART IN AN INFORMAL VIDEOCONFERENCE OF THE EU MINISTERS RESPONSIBLE FOR CULTURE AND AUDIOVISUAL

  The main theme of the meeting hosted by the German Presidency of the Council of the EU was the recovery of the cultural and media sector from the COVID-19 pandemic.

  The Culture Minister Boil Banov took part today in an informal videoconference of the EU ministers responsible for culture and audiovisual, organised by the German Presidency of the Council of the EU. The conference was also attended by Margaritis Shinas, the Vice-President of the EC, responsible for promoting our European way of life; Vera Yourova, the Vice-President of the EC, whose portfolio includes values and transparency; Mariya Gabriel, a Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, and Tieri Breton, a Commissioner for the Domestic Market.

FOR THE FIRST TIME THE FESTIVAL FOR BULGARIAN DOCUMENTARY AND ANIMATION CINEMA

Organizer of the cinema forum is EA "National Film Center", with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Plovdiv Municipality

  For the first time the Golden Rhyton Festival for Bulgarian Documentary and Animation Cinema will be held and will present online and free of charge the latest films from 4 to 10 December 2020 on the website:  https://zlatenriton.bg/.  The festival team briefly realized the organization and change of events from attendance to digital to preserve the connection between the audience and the cinema.
