EXTENTION OF THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS FOR TARGETED FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR FIELD ARCHAEOLOGICAL STUDIES AND FIELD CONSERVATION FOR 2020

  In connection with the declared state of emergency, pursuant to the Decision of 13.03.2020 of the National Assembly, the deadline for submitting applications for providing targeted financial support for carrying out field archaeological research and field conservation for 2020, under the Rules for providing targeted financial support for field archaeological research and field conservation, approved by order of the Minister of Culture No.ĐÄ09-174/05.03.2020, is extended until 30.04.2020 (Thursday).

MASS EVENTS, INCLUDING CULTURAL EVENTS, ARE SUSPENDED

  All types of mass events, including sports, cultural and scientific activities (cinemas, theatres, concerts, museums, conferences, symposia, sports and SPA centres, fitness halls, etc.) are suspended. This measure is regulated in an order of the Minister of Health Kiril Ananiev dated March 13, 2020, in connection with the announced decision of the National Assembly earlier in the day to introduce a state of emergency on the territory of the country upon recommendation of the National Operational Headquarters.

THE MINISTER OF CULTURE BOIL BANOV DISCUSSES THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR PRESENTATION OF BULGARIAN CONTEMPORARY ART IN BRUSSELS WITH THE DIRECTOR OF THE BOZAR CENTER FOR FINE ARTS, MR. PAUL DUJARDIN

  The Minister of Culture Boil Banov met with Mr. Paul Dujardin, Executive Director of the BOZAR Centre for Fine Arts, in Brussels, the Kingdom of Belgium.

  The main goal of the meeting was to discuss opportunities for deepening the long-term co-operation in order to present Bulgarian contemporary art in the European capital.

"THE BULGARIAN TRACE IN SCIENCE" EXHIBITION OPENED BY THE MINISTER OF CULTURE BOIL BANOV AND THE EU COMMISSIONER MARIA GABRIEL IN BRUSSELS

  The Minister of Culture Boil Banov opened the exhibition "The Bulgarian Trace in Science", stacked at the European Commission building in Brussels. The European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Maria Gabriel, initiated the project. The exhibition was held by the National Polytechnical Museum of Bulgaria in partnership with the Ministry of Culture. Its goal is to show the Bulgarian contribution to the development of Europe on the day of the National holiday, March 3rd. The exhibition draws attention to 11 Bulgarian inventors who contributed to world scientific progress.

THE MINISTER OF CULTURE BOIL BANOV AND LINA MENDONI, THE GREEK MINISTER OF CULTURE AND SPORTS, DISCUSSED POSSIBILITIES FOR EXPANDING BILATERAL CO-OPERATION

  A memorandum on culture will be signed between the ministries of Bulgaria and Greece in April this year. The document will help broaden contacts between institutions and specialists in the protection and promotion of cultural heritage and opportunities for presenting contemporary arts. This was agreed at a meeting between Bulgarian Minister of Culture Boil Banov and Lina Mendoni, Minister of Culture and Sports of the Hellenic Republic during a meeting in Alexandroupolis today. The discussion took place within the framework of the 4th meeting of the High-Level Co-operation Council between the governments of the two countries.
