THE HEAD OF STATE RUMEN RADEV HONORED THE WORLD FAMOUS TENOR JOSE CARRERAS WITH THE HONORARY SIGN OF THE PRESIDENT

Guest of the Dondukov 2 ceremony was the Minister of Culture Atanas Atanasov

   Art is destined to unite and enrich. The high artistic ambitions are a confirmation of the eternal power of music and the eternal pursuit of perfection. This was stated by the head of state Rumen Radev, who today at Dondukov 2 awarded the world-famous tenor Jose Carreras with the President-s Badge of Honor for his outstanding achievements in defending the cultural cause and spirituality, his contribution to classical music and its promotion on the Bulgarian stage. The guest of the ceremony was the Minister of Culture Atanas Atanasov.

BULGARIA ENTERED THE HIGH-PITCHED POLIPHONIC SINGING OF THE VILLAGE OF DOLEN AND THE VILLAGE OF SATOVCHA IN THE REPRESENTATIVE LIST OF THE INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF HUMANITY

The success for the Bulgarian side is a result of the close cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and all interested competent institutions.



During its 16th session, which is held in a virtual format from 13 to 18 December, the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage decided to register the High-pitched Polyphonic Singing from the villages of Dolen and Satovcha / Southwestern Bulgaria / in The representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

THE VICE-PRESIDENT ILIYANA IOTOVA OPENED TOGETHER WITH THE MINISTER OF CULTURE ATANAS ATANASOV THE EXHIBITION “ANCIENT FINDS. NEW DISCOVERIES. ARCHAEOLOGICAL SEASON – 2021.”

This year, specialists from the National History Museum conducted regular archeological excavations at twelve sites with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture.



Vice President Iliana Iotova and the Minister of Culture Atanas Atanasov opened the exhibition “Ancient Finds. New discoveries. Archaeological season – 2021” at the National History Museum. The guest of the opening was also the Deputy Minister of Culture Assoc. Prof. Dr. Plamen Slavov.

   The Minister of Culture Atanas Atanasov, the Executive Director of the National Donation Fund “13 Centuries Bulgaria” Slava Ivanova and the Chief Executive Officer of Bulgarian Posts EAD Deyan Daneshki opened tonight in the Sredets Gallery of the Ministry of Culture the exhibition “Naiden Petkov – Painting” , organized by NDF “13 Centuries Bulgaria” under the patronage of Mrs. Iliana Iotova, Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria.

THE NEW MINISTER OF CULTURE ATANAS ATANASOV OFFICIALLY TOOK OFFICE

One of his first tasks will be the adoption of the long-delayed Strategy for the development of Bulgarian culture for the next ten years.



At a short succession ceremony today, December 13, 2021, at the Ministry of Culture, the new Minister of Culture Atanas Atanasov took over the office from Prof. Velislav Minekov. The event was attended by the current political cabinet of the Ministry.

MINISTER MINEKOV: AS A MEMBER OF THE WORLD HERITAGE COMMITTEE OUR COUNTRY WILL COMMIT ITSELF TO ACHIEVING A MORE BALANCED AND REPRESENTATIVE WORLD HERITAGE LIST

   The Minister of Culture Prof. Velislav Minekov took part in the 23rd session of the General Assembly of the UNESCO Member States to the Convention concerning the Safeguarding of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage. The session is held at the headquarters of the world organization in the period 24-26.11.2021.
