III International Festival and International Violin Competition "Prof. Emil Kamilarov"
Sofia
23 October 2013 - 1 November 2013


Regulation:
First group - completed 15 years of age and younger at the start of the contest Award Competition.
Second group - aged 16 but not older than 30 years old at the start of the contest Award Competition.

Program:
First group
1. A freely chosen work to 30 minutes
2. Part of parties or sonata for solo violin by Bach.
3. Lars – Eric Larson - Concertino for violin and orchestra (with piano) Part 2 and 3.

Second group
First round:
1. J.S. Bach - First and Second Part of sonatas for solo violin or "shakona" from the "Parties" 2
2. W.A. Mozart - first part with cadenza of the concerto 3, 4 or 5.
3. N. Paganini - one of the 24 caprices for solo violin.

Second round:
1. part of a sonata for violin and piano at the  choice of the participant between: Mozart, Beethoven,
Prokofiev, Vladigerov, Pipkov, and others.
2. Masterly piece by Paganini (except the caprices), Ernst, Wieniawski, Sarasate, Saint-Saens, Shoson, Izai, Ravel, Tchaikovsky and others.

Ōhird round
1. Concert selection of participants from Beethoven, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Prokofiev, Sibelius,
Paganini - Concerto 1 or 2 - first part with cadenza or second and third part;
2.Work by Prof. Surujon.

Jury
Participants are evaluated by a distinguished international jury.
The jury is working on regulations adopted and approved by the Organizing Committee has the right to not award all prizes. The decisions of the jury are final.

AWARDS
GROUP 1
I - 300 levā and diploma
II – 200 levā and diploma
III - 100 levā and diploma

Group2

I - title "Laureate", 800 leva and diploma
II - title "Laureate", 600 leva and diploma
II - title "Laureate", 500 leva and diploma

Special awards:
For the performance of work by Larsson - a special cash prize from the Swedish Embassy in Sofia.
For most - performance of some of the parties or sonata by Bach - the first group - a special cash prize of Prof. Vesselin Parashkevov - 300 leva.
For best performance of the first and second group of sonatas for solo violin or "shakona" parties of 2 Baht - the second group - a special cash prize of Prof. Vesselin Parashkevov - 400 Leva.
Prof. Veselin Parashkevov graduated the Music Academy in Sofia with Prof. Emil Kamilarov, winner of many international awards competitions for solo violinists, a professor in the Music Academy in Essen - Germany.
Special Prize for performance of work of Prof. Surujon.
All participants will receive diplomas for participation.

Participation fee:
First group – 50.00 leva;
Second group – 60.00 leva.

Necessary documents:
Documents may be submitted in Bulgarian, Russian or English.
1. Form by model;
2. Copy of birth certificate or identity card (passport)
3. Autobiography ( CV )
4. Two photos 4/6 cm
5. Document for paid fee to a bank account (to submit before the contest)

Applicants who are approved to participate in the competition will be informed. Participants in the second group will receive the address note material of the work by contemporary Italian composer.

Participants are to bear the costs for travel, subsistence, accommodation, insurance for themselves and their accompanying persons. All participants are provided with discount hotel "Slavyanska beseda", located near the hall of the competition, the costs are paid entirely by the participants.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to change a regulation.
